Ashley and Jason could think of no other place to be married than at the house she called home in Johnstown, NY. The details of the wedding represented pieces of a lifetime, things that Ashley and Jason connected with growing up. Horse-drawn carriages, hay-bales, cowboy boots complete with cows and horses running through the pastures gave this classy wedding a hometown feel. The vibrant feelings have been kept alive and relived over and over again through their wedding video, something Ashley almost went without.
The Decision To Have A Wedding Video
“I think we have watched the wedding video about a million times, yes I would say a million times at least,” Ashley said. “My mom is a single mom, has been for almost 17 years. We don’t have a lot of money so having a wedding video was not something I was sure I could do.” Ashley changed her mind when she recalled watching the wedding video of one of her aunts. “I remember how great I thought that was and decided the video was the one thing I wanted, no limits I just knew I wanted a video.”
The Research To Find a Videographer Ashley researched wedding videographers online as she and Jason were both apprehensive about hiring someone. ” We have seen our share of horrible wedding videos,” said Ashley.”I didn’t want that, when I saw Bigler Productions and their online video clips, I threw the rest away. I know what I want when I want it and I wanted them.”
The Video Crew
Having a wedding videographer follow you around the entire day of the wedding may seem overwhelming, unless you have someone who knows how to interact and deal with every situation.
“How can I put it?” Ashley thought for a moment.”By the end of the day, my family wanted to adopt the entire video crew. They wanted to take them home, I would say they were actually sad to see them go!” Ashley described the videographers as laid back and willing to just go with the flow. “We had so much fun with them. They were out in the fields, taking pictures of cows and the hay-bales. One of the videographers was in the horse carriage with all the girls and the cows started racing the horses up the road. I think he was in shock, but we got such a kick out of him. My family can dish it out and they were really good with us.”
The Best Reason To Hire A Videographer
“I had no idea my mother-in-law did the Irish jig when she walked in! It was hysterical and I got to see that on the video and honestly, the bridal cuts are to die for. There are so many things I never would have known happened if I didn’t have this video.”
The Couple On The Fence
“All I can say to the next couple wondering if they should hire a wedding videographer is; just do it. Seriously, don’t think, just do it. Photos are a beautiful thing, but being able to relive the entire event takes it to a whole other level.”
ASHLEY & JASON’S WEDDING VIDEO:
Bridal Tip: Your video is your investment. As all the details from the wedding day begin to fade, you will always have your wedding video to keep the memories alive. You will still hear the laughter, the comments, the voices of those who attended and if someone does the irish jig, you won’t miss it!
